⚙️ Technical Overview
The OEM ELV steering lock contains internal mechanical components that can fail without warning.
When this occurs:
• The key is detected normally
• The ignition switches on
• The engine will not start because the steering lock cannot initialize
OEM replacement requires ordering a new steering lock and coding it to the vehicle’s immobilizer — a costly and time-consuming procedure.
The MK3 FEM/BDC Steering Lock Emulator eliminates this problem entirely by digitally simulating a functioning ELV module.
Once connected, the vehicle receives a valid steering lock status and starts normally.
🛠️ Installation Instructions
Turn off the vehicle ignition.
Remove the original ELV connector from the steering lock unit.
Plug the connector directly into the emulator.
Start the vehicle.
