These vehicles commonly experience MCU corruption, mechanical lock jamming, or complete ELV module failure — causing no start, no ignition, or “Steering Column Lock Fault” errors.
This upgraded emulator replaces the faulty ELV electronics and works together with VVDI PROG using the included special programming cable, making the repair fast, safe, and reliable.
Unlike original ELV modules, this emulator has no relay, no microswitch, no motor, meaning it eliminates the factory failure points and provides long-term stability.

Factory J518 steering lock modules frequently fail because of:

⚠️ If your vehicle still requires physical steering lock functionality, purchase a complete J518 replacement module instead. This emulator does not replicate the mechanical locking pin.
Open the original J518 ELV module.
Read MCU data using VVDI PROG with the included special cable.
Write the original dump directly onto the emulator board.
Replace the factory PCB with the emulator PCB.
Reassemble the J518 module housing.
Install the module back into the vehicle.
Clear fault codes if necessary.
Note:
If your original MCU is unreadable or the vehicle requires full lock functionality, replace the entire module instead of using the emulator.
